Furniture and Home
Systems holding the variant, the dealer and production in one record.
In furniture a product is not a single record. One model splits into dozens of variants by fabric, colour, dimension and module arrangement, and every variant carries its own cost, stock and lead time. Where that structure is modelled badly the dealer sees the wrong price, production receives the wrong order, and a sales rep closes the gap by phone. In the systems we build, variants, price lists and the production link sit in one schema — and the dealer portal reads that schema.
Problems we meet here04
- 01The variant structure strains the system
- Once fabric, colour, dimension and module arrangement multiply out, packaged software either slows down or requires manual tracking.
- 02Dealers cannot see current pricing
- When the price list is sent as a PDF, every increase starts a revision round and the old list keeps circulating in the field.
- 03Orders are retyped into production
- Where a dealer order is entered into the production plan by hand, wrong dimensions and wrong fabrics are born.
- 04Lead times are quoted from guesswork
- If capacity and current load are not in the system, the date given to the customer does not hold.
What we typically build06
- Variant products and a module configurator
- Dealer portal with their own pricing, stock and statement
- Order-to-production link and lead time calculation
- Digital catalogue and asset management
- E-commerce and marketplace integration
- Delivery, installation and after-sales service tracking
