The situation
On-demand delivery is not one product but three that must agree in real time: the customer ordering, the business preparing and the courier carrying. When they run on separate tools, order state is only as current as the last phone call and every discrepancy lands on support.
Our approach
We built the web platform on Next.js and Firebase around one order record, so a status written by any side is immediately true for the others. Restaurant browsing, ordering, location-based suggestions, real-time tracking and a secure payment flow all read from that record, and the architecture was sized for heavy order traffic from the start rather than after it arrived.
The outcome
Order state stopped being something anyone had to ask for: the business follows preparation and dispatch on one board and the customer tracks delivery without contacting anyone. The platform is live and we still run it.
About the project
We developed the web platform behind Yemek Kapımda's on-demand delivery service. Customers browse restaurants, place orders, and track deliveries in real time, backed by location-based recommendations and a secure payment flow. The system was built for scale from day one — handling high traffic volume while keeping restaurants, couriers, and customers in sync.
