Delea — AI-Powered Language Learning

Language apps lose people at the point where the exercise stops matching the learner. A fixed curriculum is either too easy to hold attention or too hard to continue, and neither failure announces itself.

We built Delea in Flutter on Firebase with GPT behind a single service layer, so speech recognition, grammar correction and vocabulary all feed one model of where the learner actually is, and the path adjusts in real time. State syncs across devices so a session continues where it stopped.

The learning path became something the product adjusts rather than something the learner has to pick, and the app runs on Android and iOS with seamless cross-device continuity. The point of an adapting path is that it postpones the moment someone gives up: it adjusts because the learner is struggling, not because the exercise is scheduled to get harder. Speech recognition and immediate feedback produce the data behind that adjustment, which makes personalisation the way the product works rather than a module bolted onto it.
